WHAT DO I NEED TO SEND MONEY ABROAD?
- A valid identity document (National ID, Passport or Driver’s Licence for Zimbabweans and Passport for non-Zimbabweans)
- Purpose of funds.
- Receiver’s name as it appears on the identity document acceptable in the receiving country
- Receiver’s address and contact number
- Destination country

WHAT DO I NEED TO RECEIVE MONEY?
- Reference Number
- Receiver identity document (Valid National ID, Passport or Driver’s Licence for Zimbabweans and Passport for non-Zimbabweans)

WHICH CURRENCIES CAN I RECEIVE?
While the Zimbabwe dollar (ZWG) exists, remittances are primarily paid out in USD cash.

ARE THERE LIMITS ON HOW MUCH I CAN SEND?
On outbound remittances below are the threshold:
- 5,000 USD per week
- 20,000 USD per month
- 50,000 USD per year

DO I HAVE TO PAY TO RECEIVE MONEY?
No, the sender bears all charges. The beneficiary should receive the full amount sent.

ARE THERE LIMITS ON HOW MUCH I CAN RECEIVE?
There is no specific legal maximum, but individual agents may have daily liquidity limits.

WHAT DOCUMENTS DO I NEED TO BUY/SELL FOR BUREAU DE CHANGE SERVICES?
Full name (as per ID)
- Date of birth
- Nationality
- Residential address / contact details
Purpose of transaction
- Travel (ticket / itinerary may be required)
- School fees, subscriptions, etc.
Sometimes supporting documents, e.g.:
- Invoice
- Proof of travel
- Payment request / bill

KYC REQUIREMENTS – CORPORATES / BUSINESS CUSTOMERS
- Certificate of incorporation (CR14 / CR6 or equivalent)
- Memorandum & Articles of Association
- Tax clearance certificate (ZIMRA)
- IDs/passports for directors/authorised persons
- Board resolution authorising the transaction
- Physical business address
- Nature of business activities/Invoices / proforma invoices/Contracts or agreements
- Import/export documentation (if relevant)
